Five PSA education sessions were led by members of the PSA executive team, PSA committees and PSA Network industry experts. The sessions covered a broad range of topics relevant to security systems integrators. Review the highlights below!
The Security Industry's Role in Addressing Global Safety Challenges
Matt Barnette, PSA President and CEO, Christopher Grniet, Visa Inc. Global Head of Global Security & Safety (GSS) Strategy, Cathal Walsh, Guidepost Solutions VP and Chief Security Officer, and Paul Schmick, Alliance Security Senior VP, shared their insight on how the security industry can enhance safety through innovation, collaboration and advanced technologies, including advanced surveillance, perimeter security and cyber defense mechanisms.
Impacting Workforce Development in the Security Industry
PSA CXO Candice Aragon and PSA Director of Learning & Development Brooke Erickson joined SIA Director of Learning & Development Elli Reges to discuss the security industry's talent challenges, including workforce shortages and high turnover. They highlighted F.A.S.T.'s proactive solutions like targeted outreach, partnerships with educational institutions and innovative recruitment strategies to strengthen the talent pipeline.
Agile Leadership: Transforming Business Practices Beyond Tech
scDataCom President and Owner Alaina Meyer, SAGE Integration COO John Nemerofsky, SAGE Integration VP and Director of Human Resources Lori Hudnall and LenelS2 GM Frank Piazza focused on the application of Agile methodologies beyond the tech industry, focusing on leadership, flexibility, collaboration and organizational benefits, highlighting how these principles can help organizations improve efficiency and adapt to change.
Emerging Threats and Future Trends: Navigating the Future of Cybersecurity
In their predictive session, Paladin's EVP Josh Cummings, PSLA VP Gary Hoffner, M2H Protection President Mark Hankewycz and Credo Cyber Consulting Founder Antoinette King shed light onto the evolving challenges in cybersecurity and worked to equip attendees with a comprehensive understanding of how to keep your organization resilient against threats.

Combating Labor Shortages in Physical Security: Attraction, Selection and Engagement
Brooke Erickson, PSA Director of Learning & Development, Lori Hudnall, SAGE Integration VP, Chris Staniforth, ALC Consulting President, and Victoria Hayes, People Partnering at HID Global VP, explored strategies for addressing labor shortages in the physical security sector, covering recruitment, onboarding, retention and workforce planning to optimize security operations.
