Sound governance of cybersecurity is the bedrock of standards and maturity. Equipping the organization with clear measures of transparency, accountability, confidentiality, integrity and other areas has a positive effect on security management. Enforcement of the security programs is an also important part of accountability and governance. The level of awareness and interest of executive management in securing the enterprise and maintaining this status is important in any security activity. Support from the onset should be obtained, managed and maintained throughout.
